Cromford Canal, Derbyshire (1 Viewer)

Had a chance to visit to the canal today. Fairly quiet though heard Chiffchaff, green and g.spot woodpecker around 4 grey wags at high peak around the shop area and 3 pairs of little grebe too.

Reading " The birds of Derbyshire " today and was amazed to see a record of Grey Phalarope for two weeks in 1935 on the canal!!!

4 hawfinch this morning though very hard to come by

Flying visit to cromford to see hawfinch's no luck terrible weather 6 had been seen a few hours before we arrived ‼

Had an hour on the meadows yesterday, managed brief views of 2 Hawfinch in flight.

We had three Hawfinch from the river bridge today, also Dipper and Grey Wagtail.
