I have a couple of questions.

In the Mayr & Kitchener (2022) paper they decribe Minutornis as Parapasseres incertae sedis, yet Fig 11B shows Minutornis as sister to Parapasseres. Have they expanded Parapasseres or should it be Psittacopasseres incertae sedis?

Also is Psittacopasseres the same as Psittacopasserae as proposed by Suh et al (2011) or is the former a broader group including fossils.

Thank-you. I was hoping l'd missed or misunderstood something in the paper.

I can now answer the second one, though. Psittacopasseres: is the emended form. In Mayr's Paleogene Fossil Birds, there is a chapter on Psittacopasseres, which says:

... all current molecular data sets congruently support a sister group relationship between the Psittaciformes and the Passeriformes (Hackett et al. 2008; Suh et al. 2011; Yuri et al. 2013; Jarvis et al. 2014; Prum et al. 2015; Kuhl et al. 2021). The clade including these two latter taxa was termed Psittacopasserae (Suh et al. 2011), which is here emended to the grammatically correct name Psittacopasseres.

I assume this is a Greek/Latin issue.
