hi, I thought the eyepiece on my tsn 883 scope extended with detent stops, but when I try to extend out the eyepiece housing (I don't wear glasses) the eyepiece unscrews. are there detents, and if so, how does get them to work? (there's nothing about detents in the short manual for the scope.). many thanks for the help, jeff

I assume you mean the eyecup not eyepiece. Sounds like yours is loose. Grab the rubber eyecup and twist clockwise to tighten it firmly first. Then turn it counterclockwise to extend the eyecup (with detents).

I will try this too. I have struggled with this eye cup. Sometimes, maybe when cold?, it feels very sticky and takes a great deal of force to turn it out when my non-eyeglass friends want to take a look.
