If the 3x worked well in a cloudy day as today (yes, sometimes we have it...), the 4x would work in a normal day... With the PMW after the image erector, and before the eyepiece, the focal length of the telescope seem to increase well more than 25%, which increase even more the interest of the 0.6x cell. I hope to have time to test more the PMW during the next weeks, doing a resolution test (it increased the resolution reading a distant duck saddle code, comparing with the Optolyth 100 at 90x), hope to test a couple of focal length reducers and eventually a 2" eyepiece - I'm guessing that a 35mm or lower wide angle would be a good solution, with a huge field of view. By the way, didn't get the 4 or 5x zoom but at least I got a 3x zoom with a constant apparent field of view - fanatics of wide-angles, this is a solution for you!!!
Siebert Power Mag Wheel In my "fight" for cr-birding binoviewing I tested another step: - finally I received the Siebert PMW. I'm a bit frustrated for not receiving the total material I ordered - instead of the Power Mag Wheel for SCT/Mak Minus 0.6x - 1x - 1.5x - 2x - 2.5x with the extra 3x and 4x cells, I just received the Power Mag Wheel for refractors 1.0x - 1.6x - 2x - 2.5x - 3.0x |=(| - even if they want to correct the shipment I will not have a person coming from USA soon...
