I pretty well agree here. Should not really be that way but it seems to be. As for Swarovski changing things, they surely have. There were a bunch of cutaways of Swarovisions posted in two threads here which clearly show the current SV differs internally from the original. I think Gijs VG posted the first series and Bruce H copied them into another thread. I think I'm likely the poster Brock referenced above. As for Jerry, I very nearly lost my cookies when I first used the 8.5x42 SV. It was a clearly nauseating, totally unpleasant experience. I wish you could experience the same thing even once. Just the other day I had a chance to look at a first year's run of the 8.5 and a new one. The images are clearly DIFFERENT. I won't say one is better than the other, both offer superior and compelling images, but side by side they most surely are DIFFERENT, particularly at the edge. I still get a RB effect from the original, not as bad, maybe I'd adjust, maybe not. The new one does not have the RB, but I clearly prefer the 10x image from a Swarovision to that one. Never did see it in the 8x32 and either the 10x42 or either of the big 50's. Which is why it is a 10x50 SV I'm waiting for. Personally I would like to offer kudos to Henry. This is a most informative thread (sans Colorado input).
