Diving ducks - Gardom Lake, BC, Canada - 27 Sep (1 Viewer)

Another couple of pics sent by my partner for ID. They're definitely diving ducks because she saw them diving, but beyond that I haven't got a clue. Not sure anyone else can help either due to the poor quality image (not helped by WhatsApp compressing them further), although there's definitely a long tail on one of the birds. eBird has bufflehead, 2 species of goldeneye and scaup, and ring-necked duck recorded fairly frequently from the site.

If you were able to post cropped versions of just the birds it might be slightly easier to get some sort of an idea of what they might be. (If they are on a phone, zoom in and take a screengrab, and post those).
 
They seem rather short-necked, short-bodied, and low in the water. Just spitballing, but my guesses might include hooded merganser (especially the one with the stiff tail) or a teal.
