Doc's Oriental Reed Warbler (1 Viewer)

Hi KC,Oriental Reed Warbler Acrocephalus orientalisis listed as a species by many field guides in these parts(Robson, Birds of SE Asia;MacKinnon, Birds of China; Wang,Birds of Taiwan; Grimmett & Inskipp, Birds of India). Some lists Cheng; Sibley & Monroe 93 list it as Great Reed Warbler Acrocephalus arundinaceus.

KC,
Yes, I updated the Sibley-Monroe in the Database to 2003. They still don't recognize it and though I don't agree that they don't, that's how they have it. So, for the Sibley-Monroe it is Acrocephalus arundinaceus orientalis (Great Reed-Warbler).

Okay, thanks very much Steve.

I've gone in and edited the scientific name and added an a/k/a. If the a/k/a shouldn't be there, let me know.
