One Green Woodpecker around Lodge Hill farm, the other from the area on the right, along the railway walk back towards the parking area.

Went to the Wyre last week parked at Dry mill and walked down Knowles Coppice. Good close views of Wood Warbler but no Redstart or Spot Fly has anyone seen Pied Fly this year. Good to hear Dippers are back as I struggled.
Did see a Buzzard on the forest floor raking at the base of a tree got my heart racing thinking I'd found a Honey Buzzard. Watched a GS Woodpecker demolish a Blue Tit nest of nearly fledged young bit gruesome seeing it hammering the chicks head!

There are sometimes a few Redstarts in trees at the edge of Knowles mill coppice near Lodge Hill farm. Thats the most regular place Ive seen them over the years.
