Hello!
I'm having some trouble trying to ID these following individuals:
1 - I know the angle doesn't help much, but I can't seem to find any duck species fitting this plumage pattern. Mallards have mostly grey rather than brown mantle and belly. It is also possible it could be a hybrid or an exotic species, as it was seen in the Palace of Fine Arts lagoon, in urban San Francisco, and there was an exotic swan there (together with Ring-necked Ducks, American Coots, Canada Geese and actual Mallards).
2 - This Falco falcon was perched somewhere along the SR-1, but I can't remember exactly what city; probably in southern Monterey county. Peregrine?
Thanks for any help!
