Hello,

today I came across this duck on a small river in Göttingen, northern Germany. I haven't seen a duck like that before, I can only guess that there might be Mallard or Domestic Duck influence? Can anyone help me to id it?

Yes,
you are right with a (manky/domestic)Mallard. If you try hard enough, you can see a slightly unusual bill shape with a straight shape with a round tip (if you dont see it, you must try harder). I have noted this in a few domestic/manky looking Mallards, too. So this isnt a sign of hybridisation imo, but happy to be corrected.
