There have been a lot of reports of Mallard X Mottled hybrids, but no one has posted images, or described them for that matter, at least in the ebird reports that I have looked at. I use them to get an idea of what has been spotted so I can get ones that I haven't photographed.I can say that there are Mottled and Black Ducks confirmed at this site. Black Ducks are pretty rare in my area and a lot of people refrain from reporting Mottled or just report them as hybrids at the request of ebird.I've attached more photos for reference.Thanks to all who have looked at these and commented.Newton</blockquote>
