Couple of reminders for DBC members looking in.

Sunday 16 March 2008

Fieldtrip by coach to Musselburgh and Aberlady Bay. Details available on the website.

Thursday 20 March 2008

Indoor meeting. WWT Washington @7.30pm. Ken Shaw (former BBRC committee member) will speak to us about some of the more difficult to see Western Palearctic birds - and Ken has seen a few so is well qualified to comment. Looks like being a popular talk so come early to ensure a seat.

Theres a very long section of the Team thats in a tunnel, right ? Approx 1.5KM?
Wonder if they fly through it......?
Kingfishers on with nest excavations at Houghton today with locally scarce Green Woodpecker at Houghton Gate.

A Little Owl, 7 Tree Sparrow & a reasonable flock of 60 Yellowhammer nr Seaton Pond this afternoon. Seems like a good time of year for Buzzards - 1 close to A1M nr Leamside.
Cheers
Steve
