Had my moth trap out last night recorded 22 species.

Scalloped Oak 3
Large Y Underwing still plenty around 25+
Double square -Spot 1
Shuttle -shaped Dart 1
Marbled Beauty 3
Riband Wave 6
Small Dusky Wave 2
Dark Arches 5
Silver Y 1
Dot Moth 2
Cabbage Moth 2
Brimstone Moth 1
BBLY Underwing 5
Common Rustic 5
Grey/Dark Dagger 1

Lesser Y Underwing 2

Butterflies seen in the garden today Peacock,2 Small Torts,3 GV Whites and several Large and Small Whites.Planted five Sedum Spectabile in the garden today they will be in flower in a month or so.They are excellent plants for attracting butterflies and moths.

moth trap going out tonight :) in the back garden.
I am as well hopefully should get a few moths.You will soon get sick of seeing Large Yellow Underwings they are the commonest.And they are a right pain when it comes to sorting the moths out in the morning they never settle and they disturb all the other moths inside the trap.
 
Butterflies in the garden today 2 Peacocks,3 Small Torts and a Comma.Haven't seen any Painted Ladies so far in the garden.This time last year they were all over the place.

Pic is a Large Yellow Underwing a very common moth, pic 2 is a Sallow Kitten.

Not so many moths last night i had a feeling it wasn't going to be a good night for moths the weather conditions weren't ideal.Big drop in the number of Large Yellow Underwings and Riband Waves 11 species of moth seen.

Hi your first pic is a Scalloped Oak,pic 2 Large Y Underwing,pic 3 Shaded-broad Bar,pic 4 Looks like a very worn Cabbage moth,pic 5 Riband Wave.

testos pond this morning was alive with butterflies, damsel and dragon quite alot of bees and wasps to.

lots of whites, copper (looks like large in my book )all very bright.
peacocks to.
still 6 cygnets and loads of coots.
