Eagle ID - Southern NJ (1 Viewer)

There have been a few reports of golden eagles at this location over the last week. I photographed several bald eagles when I was there - is this bird also a bald eagle or golden?

I don’t know. It reminded me of a Red-tailed Hawk for a minute there.

I can see where you are coming from but check out the heavily barred remiges of an imm. RTHA, the 5 fingers rather than 6, and the shorter neck and less powerful shoulders among other things 🙂

Tough one, but I'll go with bald, due to extension of head and absence of white at the base of the tail.
