Early migrants (1 Viewer)

on 3 April I had a Grasshopper Warbler at Hope Gap, Seaford Head. Today a Whitethroat singing there, reported by other local birders.

A Short-toed Eagle in Verdon, South of France yesterday. Is that early or normal?

It's in the normal period, one or two have been seen up here in Franche-Comté already.

The first Swifts have been seen here already (not by me), yesterday the first Redstart was back.

Common Whitethroat this morning singing at his usual place :t: Belton Golf Course, Lincs and singing he was, didnt see him as it was behind some houses :smoke:

tree pipits everywhere and three cuckoos back, no new migrant species yet, but a late redwing was a surprise.

It's gone very quiet for new migrants in my area i think it's because of the wind has been in the wrong direction for a few days now.Could do with it changing round

SWALLOW ALERT

Squillions of swallows, Sand martins and a few House martins streaming North out of Sark this morning!.. a rough estimate of about 100 a minute!

They've been coming across the Solent and over Keyhaven/Pennington pretty much all day today, just ones and twos mostly but a constant flow all day.
