Earthcreepers; Patagonia and Chile (1 Viewer)

A question for Opus; we have two photos of Scale-throated Earthcreeper (one from Patagonia and one from Chile). Both were identified pre-split - I presume (from the habitat) that neither is of a Patagonian Forest Earthcreeper (Upucerthia saturatior)?

Can subspecies be identified for either photo?

birds at El Yeso are Scale-throated sensu stricto, but i'm not sure about the location in Argentina

there is a difference in bill length between the two species (shorter in PFE) but you'd need to get someone more experienced to look, maybe a PM to Alvaro Jaramillo (Scelorchilus on BF i think.)
