I was trying to get an understanding of the few Eastern Yellow Wagtails reported in Japan on inaturalist. I think I safely ID'd a few taivana, spotted a single Grey Wagtail and mostly E.tschutschensis (ssp unclear or not outstanding in the crowd)
But what would you make of this, slender headed (stance probably but is that all?) grey, brown, black-white wagtail? A juvenile of what ssp? just tschutschensis?
I borrowed the photos (permission granted) from S. Dowell, the original observer.
