Hi! I found this nest in grass on the edge of some pine forestry. I accidentally scared the brooding bird away and took a quick snap before legging it and leaving them in peace, so I have no idea what it might be.

Can only suggest a Wood Lark which has mottled brown eggs, nests made of dry grass, usually well hidden, but don't think it would be in area.

Hia Sarah, too pale for a Wood Lark almost certain it's a Stonechat the pale speckles along with a darker ring at the top swing it for me. Any sighting of the parent bird would enable you to crosscheck, but nest location again sends me to Stonechat.....Regards Joespy
