Elephant or Small Elephant Hawkmoth Friday Worcestershire (1 Viewer)

I found either a Small Elephant or Elephant Hawkmoth fluttering about in the road as I was cycling on Friday afternoon. Quiet country lane with pastureland and wheat growing in surrounding fields. A couple of gardens nearby. I was so bothered about getting it in to the hedge before it got run over that I didn't look at it closely. Anybody got any idea which moth it was?

Could be either, without a description ie wing patterning and body colour and or a supplied image....how long is a piece of string?
Sorry👍

Think you'll need Mystic Meg for this one without any more details as both are quite common & on the wing now. Well done with rescuing it.:)

If it was pink and green and quite large it was Elephant. If it was more gold and greenish, and not much bigger than a Large Yellow Underwing it was Small Elephant.
