Espanola, Ontario, Canada - What type of hawk is this, they all look the same to me! (1 Viewer)

I take it to be a red-tailed hawk - e.g. only faintly-barred secondaries on upperwing).
Is it injured? - there's something odd going on with the wing(s) and it obviously allowed very close approach.

You are right, it was injured and went to a treatment centre. It was a photo from a friend who did not know what kind of bird it was.
