Can I add to Roy's repost, the £13 includes a copy each year of the superb Essex Bird Report which retails at £8 and two issues per year of the journal "Essex Birding" (normally £1.50 each) so membership for anyone in or near Essex is extremely good value. The field meetings are excellent for expert and novice alike. I cannot manage the evening meetings myself, but understand that they are of high quality.

Thanks for your post Dave. Were you by any chance on the EBS field trip to Grove Ferry and Stodmarsh on Sunday, 06/04/03? I spoke to a member then who like me is very impressed with Bird Forum.
