Female Purple Finch? Eastern Ontario, Canada (1 Viewer)

Shot in eastern Ontario, Canada this morning, I think this is a female purple finch but not at all certain. Can someone confirm or correct that ID?

Yes. Female or immature. Bill-shape, head-pattern.
Lighting looks odd - where was it?
Thanks. It was in deep shadow against a brightly lit background and at 1600mm EFL. Best I could do with it. From the distance I thought it was a song sparrow but knew it wasn't when I saw it on the computer.
