Ferruginous duck? Cottbus, Germany (1 Viewer)

Well-known member
Can anyone confirm this presumed ferruginous duck, seen today in Cottbus, Germany? We're puzzled by the asymmetry between the left side (well-defined white patch) and the right (much bigger white area on the side). Could it be a hybrid of some kind?
