Been lurking a while now, finally decided to take the plunge after seeing a great thread about birding in my local patch (East Lothian, Scotland). Still very much a newbie but enjoying the warm welcome and the fact that everyone answers my novice questions so helpfully.

Ahh yes, that old chestnut! I was meaning post-lockdown but of course I didn't actually say that.

Like so many others, it's staying local through the lockdown that's made me appreciate the local birds. We're starting to come out the other side now but still a long way to go.
