Finnish or Argenteus variation? (1 Viewer)

Hey,

I ran into some confusion with this gull. Initially I thought it may have been a Lesser-black backed, but I'm fairly sure it is a European Herring.
I read that sometimes Finnish Herring can be confused with Lesser black-backed.

North coast, Ireland in January.

It may also be a similar type to this tricky dark Herring as well: Is this an American Herring gull? Ireland

I'm just wondering if race can be guessed from these photos, or if a variation in Argenteus is the most likely reason for the dark appearance.
