The falls colors are currently amazing and last night we had the first frost of the Fall and the Dark-eyed Juncos arrived with the lower temperatures. The White-throated Sparrows arrived a few weeks ago and I've been waiting patiently for the first Juncos as they are one of my favorites and will be in the yard until next April. I took several photographs this morning and this one shows off the fall colors quite nicely.

It's a Junco with frost on it.

Sorry Lads, I didn't manage to get a shot of a Junco this morning.

Yep it's a Starling. I think they have a bad reputation, yeah collectively they’re a frigging pain in the arse but individually they are quite a nice looking bird. IMHO of course.
