Super pics, Baz.....they are so cute!

Glad that you have baby Blue Tits, Ann, they are so cute too aren't they?

They are too cute for words. Wendy do you know anything about sparrows? tree sparrows? There was a female tree sparrow in the blue tit throng and it started feeding the chicks too? is that odd?

Oh what super pictures everyone.

Baz: Love your piccies. Those cute endearing little faces saying look mummy I need feed food and more food. o:)o:)

Simon: Love your pictures of different species getting along together on your feeders - really nice to look at and thanks for sharing.

Ann: Strange goings on with your Sparrows? Wonder why they have ended up amongst the Blue Tits? Wierd surrogate parenting going on.

Good to see the juveniles appearing more often in the garden and feeding themselves. The Robin is now getting his/her orange/red breast! This Robin has proved a monkey to get a pic of though! I hear it's 'tic tic' call and no sooner is it on the feeder than it's gone!o:D

Hardly a fledgling, but it is unusual to see a young Woodie in the garden. In fact I'm sure that this is the first one I have seen here in 9 years!

A young Chaffiinch with a parent feeding it in the garden this afternoon! I don't get many Chaffinches so this was a nice surprise, it also cheered me and took my mind off impending Dental Appt later in the afternoon!o:D

Thanks, Val! The juvenile chaffinch was the first one I have ever seen in my garden, so it was a lovely surprise! Hope you get a few soon.

I had a juvenile Blackbird and Woodpigeon in the garden this morning.

How cute, Val! The little chap that was in my garden yesterday has not shown up today and I've not heard him around either, so I hope he is OK.

Thank you Wendy & Pam.
He/she only just fitted in there. Daft bird,:-O as there is a much bigger pot opposite that one on the patio.

That's brilliant Val, almost seems to be thinking "what? And you think YOU could do better?". |:D|

Just went to put my bin out and coming back I looked around the garden and one of the robin fledglings was hopping around the edge of the garden. I crouched down on the lawn and he was boldly hopping around and feeding, no more than 10 feet or so away from me for quite some time - long enough for my legs to start getting cramped! He only flew off when the greedy Collared Dove came over hoping to blag a suet pellet from me. Brilliant!

A lovely encounter, Fozzy!:t:

I also spotted a fledgling Robin in my garden this morning! So that makes 2 so far in my garden, not many is it?
