Message: <blockquote data-quote="Zackiedawg" data-source="post: 1907823" data-attributes="member: 88126"><p>Thanks Savi.  You can indeed get incredibly close at both of these locations - I'd say closer than any other wildlife/bird areas in Florida (Viera, Ding Darling, Corkscrew, Anhinga Trail, Bill Baggs - there are many excellent locations down here).  You can get as close sometimes at the other parks, but not as consistently with so many species.  By close, oft times it's within 10 feet...it's possible to get decent bird photos there with a 100mm lens!  Of course, the big 400 & 500mm lenses have great purpose too, for those smaller birds or the rare few who aren't cooperating and are a little farther away - but I promise you you'll not likely experience any other place that will get you as close to as many species of birds in a single day!</p></blockquote><p></p>
