Thank you all very much gentlemen!!! I forgot the forum does not send notices every time someone replies to the thread so it took me that long time to check this thread to see your messages, thanks a lot again! It must have been a good luck but without your advices I already ordered the book by Brian Rapoza just few days ago - lucky me! I have also searched through the net and found so much information that now I could easily spend 1/2 year in FLorida, it must be fantastic place bird-wise!!! Merritt Island is on the list too - good to know that is one of the best places in winter! Also many thanks to Carlos for wetlands info - that will be our very first stop as we are heading north right after we land in Miami 21.12.2009! Hopefully there will not be much people there - yes you were right - I am into photography! I will spend most of the time in Fort Meyers - I was advised to visit : Fort de Soto for waders Anhingha Trail in Everglades Cape Coral Library for Burrowing Owls Little Estero Lagoon for waders And of course the Sanibel Island - the coincidence is we spend 10 days at the meeting in hotel only stonecast from the Sanibel and Fort Myers beaches. Thanks everybody again, our Florida Journey starts in ca 1 month but I cannot wait to be there!!! Jiri
