Hi all,

Sorry for the back of camera shots but very curious what this little flycatcher-looking bird might be. Found in a forested park in Nairobi, Kenya. Thanks very much

Why not African grey flycatcher? Careful review of ebird headline images shows bill is in fact bicoloured (as here). Iirc, this is usually invisible in the field (appears black)

Thanks for the response. What’s throwing me off about this bird is the apparently very strong contrast between the upper and lower parts, in particular the darker upper part of the head
