The Frogs on my local patch in Russia are Moor Frogs Rana arvalis, I can only tell that because the males go a blueish colour when breeding.

What was a sight was the male frogs leaving the pond after mating and heading off back in to the woods through the leaf litter.

I'm reliably informed that these are the eggs of a Jefferson Salamander. They're quite big apparently but I've never seen one.
