Found this injured bird in my garden (1 Viewer)

Escaped domestic quail , not a wild bird.
These have been bred from Coturnix japonica

does anyone in your neighbourhood perhaps keep these birds?

That is a domesticated coturnix, yes. If it can't fly, that's why- coturnix [edit: domesticated coturnix] aren't great fliers. However, I do see broken feathers and a possible injury. I would try to catch it, and put it in some sort of cage. It won't last long in the wild, and should be returned to its owner or rehomed. Probably with a veterinary visit.

Well, if you want to be precise, some quails are actually pretty good fliers, at least compared to other gamebirds. The European species Coturnix coturnix is a long-distance migrant, for example. But since this is a domesticated bird, it's probably less adept at flying.
