Francolinus coqui campbelli (J. A. Roberts, 1928) OD J. A. Roberts, (1928) Birds and mammals from Southwest Africa. Annals of the Transvaal Museum 12: 289–329 (not seen as not here) described as Ortygornis coqui campbelli.

The Eponym Dictionary of Birds claims
Coqui Francolin ssp. Francolinus coqui campbelli J. A. Roberts, 1928 NCR [JS Peliperdix coqui coqui]
Colonel William A. Campbell (1880–1962) was a South African soldier, businessman and a big game hunter in Natal, South Africa, where he managed estates (1906–1962). He was a member of the National Parks Board. A reptile is named after him.
