Hello,
I have not seen anything new recently but the autumnal birds are plentiful. Here is a list of today's quite common sightings:
Northern shovellers,
mallards,
wood ducks,
hooded mergansers,
great blue heron,
black capped chickadees,
a plethora of tufted titmice,
red tail hawk,
American robins,
American goldfinch,
a junco,
a goldfinch,
mourning doves,
Northern cardinals, female
red belly woodpecker,
white throat sparrows
blue jays,
white breast nut hatches,
house finches,
Should you wish to visit New York City in the autumn, avoid Marathon weekend, the first Sunday in November, and Thanksgiving Day. Both occasions, and the day before, may have the highest hotel prices. On both days, Central Park visits are restricted, at least from the West Side.
Happy bird watching,
Arthur
