There will be the apperance of some birds on this canvas today, although I ws having thoughts about them being arctics instead of greats (both breed at this site).
Another shocking pic, I'm afraid - the downside of trying to photograph wet paint - makes a change from just watching it dry . . .

It's a real pleasure and an education to watch these atmospheric seascapes build from the back to the front, getting more exciting with each stage. Arctics or greats? Doesn't matter, either will highlight and compliment this wonderful, light infused scene.

I'm insanely jealous of your talent Mr. Wootton!

Love the seascape and the masterclass, wonderful way to break the 6 figure mark. B :):t:
Oh, nice one Paul - many cheers!!!
I had spotted the counter was in readiness of new digit and fully expected several hundred Mods to descend from their Olympian heights with bushels of manor and casks of fine malt to distribute amongst us bohemian daubers. Alas, none there came so feel free to enjoy a all the house has to offer - on the House!
I'm starting with a sweet Vod & ton, a quick double Dalwhinnie followed by a Phalacrocorax aristotelis (if the missis isn't asleep).
Chin chin and a very sincere thanks to all who have contributed to making this otherwise tedious thread somewhat more engaging than it would have been.

Oh yes, I like that a lot. Wonderful painting, makes me want to travel to Scotland and Orkney islands, these seascapes are sort of addicting...

Cheers folks.
Another small oil on canvas panel - this is the rugged coast of the isle of Stronsay, near to the famous arch - the Vat of Kirbister.
Hellishly difficult to photograph.
Oil, 14"x10"

C'est pas ma faute, je suis anglais.
running out of words to say about all these cliffscapes, but each one is a beauty and each one an individual

Sometimes you just see something that screams out to be painted. A sojourn to the Co-op took me past the harbour, as indeed most walks do, and this little creeler just caught the light.
