£29.95 from Birdguides here - http://www.birdguides.com/estore/browse.asp?id=1831 Touche - you didn't read my post properly ! I didn't imply that you were barring people from saying what they think but you did write: " ...it is getting a hard time on here, some of which is possibly a little undeserved". I merely tried to justify the views of those who have been critical, and in my opinion deservedly so. So from what you say in your last post your opinion is 'read it once and chuck'. ? At £30 that is not good value in my opinion and that is the point I was making. In a similar context the average hardbacked first edition novel is around £18 not £30. FTR I was not suggesting at all that it was a reference book, merely that it's pricing reflected this context. Value for money is an important consideration for some (most ?) people and the overwhelming consensus is that this book does not represent good value. This does not detract from it being useful, interesting, inspirational etc. I am genuinely pleased that you like the book Ross and the respect your view that the paper does not detract from your enjoyment of it. In a similar context I own a pair of Ultravid bins, about which I hear nothing but disdain on BF regarding the (dreaded) "stiff focus knob". For me, it has never been an issue - they are fantastic bins. Everyone to their own I say. I don't think my review of "F in B" was too scathing and was overall positive regarding the content ?
