Not sure where the negative conclusions of sensor noise are coming from. My non-scientific evaluation from shooting it is that it has a full 1 stop advantage or ISO1600 over previous flagship superzooms. The strange Photography Blog review that has been refrenced even said under its IQ section: "This camera handled noise very well, not becoming obvious until the relatively slow speed of ISO 800 and then becoming progressively worse at the faster settings of ISO 1600 and 3200. Only the fastest setting of ISO 6400 isn't worth using. Chromatic aberrations were well controlled, with limited purple fringing effects appearing only in high contrast situations. " Sounds pretty positve to me! I think this was born out in their sample pics too despite the less postive spin they put on it in their conclusion. I also think it is a little rash to pass judgement based on the few pics posted here taken in full auto with no tweaks to the jpegs. I also doubt any of here have a monitor capable of more than full HD resolution. Only large prints will reveal what this camera can do and I have seen them up close both at the Photo Imaging Expo and Fujifilm showroom gallery last month and they were pretty sweet. And as I have said before, the EVF is virtually identical in size/resolution to the current Panny's but the LCD is superiour and since it folds out it is far more useful for video so Panny users should have nothing to complain about. Fuji is pretty good with getting firmware updates out too so perhaps a few of these early hiccups can be easily fixed. Rick
