Yes, that is an interesting feature.
But, this HC is not an IS binocular … or did I miss something ?
I just checked the link you provided - maybe there's more information there now ?
In summary:
Compact 42mm Roof Prism ED Binoculars in 8x and 10x
Closed frame magnesium chassis
Long eye relief
Water repellant outer coatings
Diopter correction on right tube just ahead of eyepiece
9 lenses in 7 groups - looks to be 2(one ED component)+1 Objective, 1 focusing element, Dielectric coated S-P prisms, 5 element eyepiece (2+2+1~lanthum glass final element)
Hyper-Clarity is a marketing term, unless they are going to be made to a higher resolution standard than the Industry Standard
It probably refers to CA handling, though no mention is made of what type of ED glass (if it was fluorite they'd be trumpeting it).
They are claiming 'balanced' light transmission and 'natural' colours.
Also distortions controlled from centre to edge.
All lenses are Super EBC multi-coated (which is Fujinon's standard naming of their AR coating process).
No Fov, or weight specs that I can see, nor any quantification of what they define as "long ER".
Looks like low to mid-level ? standard mainstream birding/nature observation binoculars ...... :cat:
[EDIT] - Just followed the link Ries provided and specs are up -
blah :-O
