I heard a bird around 8:00AM and I’m not sure what kind it is. The only thing I know is the sound it made sounded like the beginning music in the song Funky Town - Lipps Inc. Please help me to identify this type of bird!

I kind of don't want to find out the actual answer, because Funky Town Bird is better.

Did you ever figure this out?! I heard the same song at 8:30 this morning in central New York. Using Merlin and chatgpt, I narrowed it down to a Baltimore Oriole. Some of them just sound similar but some of them sing the song exactly!

If I had to take my best guess, I would assume the band members were on LSD, and when the morning came, they subconsciously got this bird’s song stuck in their head. Next thing you know, Funkytown was born!
