Dunno ... 49a) ?? ;)

Certainly a cracking one for any garden list.

Rather that than Feral pigeon!

That's one I'll certainly never get! So the answer to that question is.....let your conscience decide....;)

It's a great one for he garden list........only once before a few years ago. It was with a pied so maybe....... they'll stay and breed, it wouldn't be unknown for Sussex. Will report back. 49a just doesn't do it for me so I'm going to count it! .........and if we end up neck and neck at the end, Ken, I'll go off in a sulk.

How things have changed!...Little Egret drifted over the garden this am..yawn..yawn..then a male House Sparrow appeared amongst the Redpoll, Siskin and Goldfinch..pandemonium broke loose!..as I yelled out to my 8 year old grandson! (he needed it for his grdn.list..and I needed it for the year)..No.52.

I have forgotten Hoary/Arctic Redpoll. I saw and photographed it on January all ready. Luckily me, that you here in BirdForum ID´d it. So it should be about # 10, but for now lets say it is # 14.

36. Barred Owl. I was awaken this morning at 5 o'clock by the hooting of this bird just outside our bedroom window. I slipped on a pair of jeans and walked outside to "sneak a peek". There it was sitting on a limb of black walnut tree, about 25 feet from our bedroom window.

Out of the blue this morning, high & fast directly north...

51 : Merlin !!

Only about the third ever for the garden.

Out of the blue and not even worthy of making it to number 52? ;)

Absolutely nothing happening here, still deep snow and mega minus! Treecreeper using my feeders though.
