Or climbing onto the roof via a pair of extension ladders, perilously hanging onto the guttering, only to confirm...that the possible ''Eleanora's was a severely malnourished Kestrel !

Or sat there for four hours...with tea in hand, looking through rain splattered windows on a cold January day...and adding Dunnock to your day list, just before the sun goes down.

Ah-h-h!...the joys of garden listing...I'm afraid this ''committee of one'', is very comfortable currently being 41 ahead.

They've been calling for a week or so down here. At this time of year when I hear them, I tend to think they've had a successful breeding season.
