Beast from the East
Well, I'm back on patch ...Hobby, Lesser Spotted Eagle, Marsh Harrier all over today, none new for the year. Overall, a real summer lull now, very little active.

Beast from the East
Summer certainly edging out now, a feel of autumn creeping in - several Nutcrackers on my plot this week, sure sign of end of summer. Also Black Woodpecker back in the flooded forest and a slow drift of raptors, storks and cranes overhead. Lesser Spotted Eagle lingering, one Goshawk through, a couple of Hobbies and, one addition to the year list, one Red-footed Falcon, I think third record on my land. Also one Reed Bunting, my first autumn record ever.

Missed one extra species with two overhead waders, picked them up far too late and they shall forever remain question marks, but whatever they were, they were probably new species for the land!

120. Red-footed Falcon.
