If Giant Hummingbird gets split into the two species as currently proposed, does anyone know what the currently know northern limit of Southern is in Peru and the currently know southern limit of Northern is is Argentina?

you can get some impressions by going to ebird, use explore, species map, select this species and compare distribution in July and January.

The northern form reaches into Chile (Putre) in the very north.

I have a feeling that a lot of folks are still probably going to end up with Giant Hummingbird sp. on their list once the split is accepted, at least until they can return to South America

I found this blog that had a lot of illustrations that I find quite helpful.
I've seen Northern Giant Hummingbird in Ecuador and I've also seen Giant Hummingbird in Peru in August, shere I presume both species occur side by side at that time of year (since it's winter in Patagonia), so I'll check my pictures, whether I can make out differences in the throat pattern.

Argentina is a mystery at the moment I think. All individuals sampled there were Southern clade but it isn’t clear to me whether those were local breeders or birds from lowland central chile on their migration loop.
Peru wise it seems southern birds get at least as far north as Chimbote.
This based on the figure with the sampling locations from the paper shown in the blog linked by maffong
