I have the above tripod and am looking for a centre column for it. Can any one tell me if this is a 3 series tripod? There is a centre column on ebay that looks like it may fit.

Any help would be appreciated :)

Thanks

my G1325 has the removable top plate with 70mm diameter insert. a rapid center column needs to have the 70mm insert plate.

If you don't want/need the adjustment of a centre column, I'd suggest a base plate. I bought this one for my Gitzo at a fraction of the cost of a branded base plate.
I have the Gitzo base plate in mine for when I was into photography with my Canon 500 f4 lens. Want it now for my scope, I sold the lens. Just makes it easier to adjust up and down when the scope is attached with a centre column I reckon.

I got rid of mine as it was just additional weight/source of vibration (I only use a scope).

I will give it another go with the scope then. (y) I Just found it a bit of a pain having to adjust all the legs on different levels the last time I used it.

I will persevere then :)
