Gitzo traveler tripod with Manfrotto head (1 Viewer)

Hi I own a Manfrotto MHXPRO 2W fluid head and need to pair it with a smaller tripod than I presently own. I’m looking at a Gitzo 1545t tripod because of the lower weight and shorter folded length for travel. I have seen other threads that indicate that the difference in head mount attachment area (42 and 60 mm) isn’t a big deal for a 60 mm Gitzo head on the Gitzo 1545t tripod. Does anyone have experience with the combination of the Manfrotto head and Gitzo traveler tripod? (My scope is the tiny Swarovski ATC.) Thanks!

That head works on the Gitzo 1545T. The difference in the size of the head attachment area may look a bit funny, but the combination works no problem.

I normally use a smaller head on my 1545T (an old Gitzo 2180), but I tried different heads after I bought the 1545T, among them the big Manfrotto 500AH. No problem at all. Be aware though that you won't be able to invert the tripod legs with the Manfrotto MHXPRO 2W attached.
