Message: <blockquote data-quote="666taz" data-source="post: 1745826" data-attributes="member: 62885"><p>I have been using AVG for a few years now and yes its a pain when it scans and your trying to do something if this happens i stop it then restart it later.Delia Avast is asking you to disable mail scaning as you email account will have its own scanner but Avast wants to do it instead so just stop the mails version and let Avast do its thing.The main reason apple macs dont get as many viruses is because the apple software is not ussually backward compatable like a  pc's is .All pc's will run old software to upto date stuff and by more manufacturers and all the manufacturers need the code to make their sofware run with diffrent hardware in every pc but since apple computers have the same basic components made by apple then its easier to make software as there isnt as much diffrent coding for all the software to work with all the hardware.I find it hard to explain by writing it but can explain better when actually telling someone lol.The reason windows is saying you have no virus software is because by default you have to disable windows defender so windows thinks you havent got anything as they dont talk to each other .Windows will do this with whatever virus software you are using if defender is disabled .Hope thid helps a bit and dosent baffle too many soz in advance Phill.</p></blockquote><p></p>
