Hi all,

I saw this eagle today on Mount Nuolja and I believe it is a golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos)?

Thanks,
Ryan

If you get the chance get up to the Isle of Mull, Scotland. After a couple of days you should be quite familiar with both species.
Great place on it's own merit too.

As a general Impression the wte is a hefty bird whereas the Golden is a lean mean fighting machine.

Golden eagle has pinched in wings as opposed to very rectangular on wte (also very broad winged)

Wte very short tail

See if you can find a couple of videos on internet showing both birds flying to get an idea on jizz....
