Great place to see places I visited before, ones I want to visit and ones I will never be able to visit, I am afraid. I saw in the TV that Keas visit ski resorts in New Zeanad. So I checked and bingo!

Alas, the dreaded 'See Inside' :-C . . . but there are also road passes where they hang out, I'll see if I can find details

##161, 162, 163, 164 - good catch on the swifts especially!
But also, what is the broad-winged bird just left of the Y-b Kite? Does not looks so much like a crow to me?

Specifically here:

Nutcracker, you overlooked my yesterday post #332. Since that I added Chacma Baboon from Botswana:

And the second species of Elephant (wild! Note the electric fence. Wild Asian Elephants are hanging next to the road in Uva Valuve begging for snacks).

Wow, what a set!
Green Woodhoopoe #165
Squacco Heron #166
Glossy Ibis #167; lapwing sp. unidentifiable I fear (either V. senegallus or V. lugubris; not enough detail to see which)
Lapwing to ID - another Blacksmith, already got
Dove - pass! Streptopelia sp., needs detail of eye ring colour, collar width ... :-C

Nice Heffalumps!

Checked Arthur's Pass, which is probably the best chance; negative, unfortunately.

Stuck in Dundee.....
Scotland
I wish! But following it flying right, 3 frames on it's just a gull o:D

That's the only view that makes it look particularly gull-like though. Location listed as best site for Hobbies, and nothing else remotely resembling a gull around, despite following all the possible trails. It could be a gull scratching it's head in my linked pic, so maybe best left unconfirmed.

Anyway, having seen what feels like a million Turkey Vultures all over the Americas I finally found a good view (not a new bird).

I thought it was gull-like in all of them :-O

Think they're all American Black Vultures? (also not new . . . :t:) Several definitely are, pale primaries visible. Dead armadillo beside the road, that's what they're after.

Edit: yes, all ABV, but a Turkey Vulture circling above them, though:

Alas, Matt Hayward's private pic, not google . . . disqualified! Should be plenty of other chances on GBHeron though

Odd... it was definitely on streetview as it was at the start of the trail. Ill try to find it again

EDIT... Ah now I see. I was just looking at continuous paths and assuming they were streetview as opposed to the circles meaning just someones picture. But now I see someone can great a whole segment along a trail or road.

Yep, google will lend out their cameras to other people who can do walks where they like. But they're often biased, deliberately setting out to get birds . . . :[email protected]
