A trip to a local reservoir on a rather dreich Saturday in the hope of adding to my Dundee 140 list...

Stuck in Dundee.....
Cheers, Mike. Views on the blog have been down recently below the threshold that I think makes the effort involved in each post worthwhile, so I asked on twitter how many photos per post is the preference. It appears that 10 or less is the preference which would mean that I would probably only post one or maybe two of those Treecreeper photos. I'm contemplating an additional 'weekly/fortnightly/monthly?' round-up post of just photos so that those who do enjoy the visual side of the posts can still get to see them and those who don't can ignore those posts.

I'ts your blog, so only do what gives you the most pleasure. I enjoy both the writing and the photos. I enjoy reading about areas i know, and where you spot certain things. I often visit places you have been hoping to spot the same things. Being a local myself probably gives me a different viewpoint than others.

Stuck in Dundee.....
Turns out the reason that too many photos is problematical for some is that the posts are being viewed on a phone and the photos can take quite a while to load. I'm only just finding this out now and it probably would've been handy if those who were having problems could have pointed out that it was an issue. Better late than never, I suppose. The new slimmed down version did take a lot less time to put together but it did end up feeling a bit too much like a million and 1 other birding blogs.....(and less like 'mine').
