Greece in late September (1 Viewer)

Hi all, I am attending a wedding in Crete on the last weekend in September this year, and will take 2 weeks to travel around Greece. I'm hoping to see some new birds while there! I'm only in early stages of planning / researching / reviewing eBird at the moment. I will probably be able to dedicate 2-3 full days, and perhaps some mornings whilst sightseeing/travelling around. If anyone has recommendations for locations to visit for my target birds, especially any sites on Crete, it is very appreciated.

My target birds: Chukar, Scopoli's shearwater (hoping I can see some whilst on a ferry?), Dalmatian Pelican, Black Stork, Red-footed and Eleanora's falcons, Stone Curlew, Eagle Owl, Eastern black-eared wheatear, Eastern sub-alpine warbler, Red-breasted and collared flycatchers, Western rock nuthatch, Lesser grey shrike, Sombre tit

Thanks!

Hey!

I have never been to Crete, but I assume seeing Scopoli´s shearwater from a ferry could be very possible. While being on the ferry from Igoumenitsa (Epirus) to Italy I saw some, and not that far from the coast. Chukar could be a little harder to track down I believe, and as far as I know, there are no Dalmatian pelicans on Crete. But I guess vultures will be a possibility to see. I would have to read about the other species you´ve mentioned to check if they´re common on Crete. Anyway, sounds like a nice vacation!
